Mrs. Johnsie Haas Isenhour, 91, of Statesville, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, at Davis Regional Medical Center. Born June 1, 1920 in Hudson N.C. she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude Sullivan Haas. She attended Caldwell County Schools and on February 18, 1940 was married to Frank Marshall Isenhour who died November 26, 1984. She worked at the J.P. Stevens Plant for many years and retired at the age of 65. Following that she worked a number of years part time at Harris-Teeter. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, her flowers and most of all, her children. Her husband was also her best friend and they were always together hand in hand. She was a former member of Christ Boulevard United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Isenhour was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Holcomb, a grandson, Robbie Swicegood, a great granddaughter, Anna Bella Grace Martin, two brothers, Bruce Haas and Ira Haas, along with two step brothers, Murry Setzer and Rodney Setzer. She is survived by one son, Frank Marshall Isenhour, II (Diane) of Statesville, five daughters, Janice Reavis (Clyde) of Statesville, Penny Moore (Edward) of Piney Creek, N.C., Jeffery Cornett (Richard) of Statesville, Kathy Campbell (David) of Pollocksville, N.C., and Loretta Somers (James), of Statesville. 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren along with two sisters, Bernice Witherspoon, May Setzer, and two brothers, Franklin Haas and Cecil Haas, also survive. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Iredell Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Stewart officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening, 6:30 until 8:30 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Allen Reavis, Bryan Reavis, Clint Morton, Casey Cornett, Barney Martin and Doug Milar. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852, or to American Diabetes Association Memorial & Honor Program, 1701 North Beauregard St., P.O.
