Johnny Thomas Lett, 66, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born June 18, 1945 in Statesville to the late Thomas Lee Lett and Maggie Lee Lambert Lett. He attended Iredell County Schools and on December 12, 1965 he married Judy Snead Lett who survives. Mr. Lett worked for Dixie Seating Co. as a fork lift operator for 30 plus years. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers Horace Allen Lett and Eldridge Samuel Lett, one sister Flora Cleo Lett, one nephew Ronnie McCrary and one niece Debbie McCrary Smith. In addition to his wife he is also survived by a son, James Thomas Lett (Rhonda), of Statesville, and two daughters Maggie Lett Coley (Lynn) of Olin and Angela Lett, of Statesville. He is also survived by two grandsons Brandon Ray Deviney and Matthew Thomas Lett, both of Statesville, two granddaughters, Lindsey Carolann Coley, of Olin, and Alicia Jordan Lett, of Statesville. Mr. Lett is further survived by a sister, Gracie Lee Lett McCrary, of Statesville, along with numerous of nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Lett will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 15, 2012 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Williams officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour after the service. Burial will follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
