Johnny Joe Waller

Johnny Joe Waller, 39, of Mocksville, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Gordon Hospice House. Johnny was born in Iredell County on March 10, 1976, and was the son of Harry Wayne Waller, Sr. and Vickey Myers Barr. He attended Iredell County schools and while his health allowed, worked at The Detail Shoppe. Johnny was a person who loved the Lord! He also enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing. He was an avid gardener and loved to plant flower beds. His experience could be recognized as a professional landscaper. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Jerry Stout. He is survived by a son, Kevin Joe Waller; father, Harry Waller, Sr., his mother, Vickey Barr (Raymond), a sister, Tammy Waller along with two brothers, Wayne Waller, Jr., all of Statesville and Steven Waller of Olin. He is also survived by very special family friends and caregivers Tim and Wanda Reynolds, special friends Cody and Patricia Markle, Jeffery Stout, and Audrey Dixon along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services for Johnny Waller will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Houstonville Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Henderson and Pastor John Whalen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the American Cancer Society.
