John Wesley Drum

Mr. John Wesley Drum, 66, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Serenity House of Mooresville. Mr. Drum was born April 12, 1950 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Thomas Fletcher Drum and Lois Smith Drum. He was a graduate of Statesville High School, class of 1968 and on January 29, 1974, he married Peggy Stewart Drum, who survives. He attended Cornerstone Christian Academy Church and was the Statesville Manager of Quality Pest Control. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and he attended games every year with his childhood friend, John Cloer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, John Greg Drum (Bobbie Jo) of Statesville, one daughter, Angela D. Eudy (Joe) of Statesville and three grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Eudy, Joseph Michael Eudy and Matthew Thomas Eudy. He was preceded in death by an infant brother. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Grover Crosswhite, Pastor Tad Taylor and Pastor Roger Crider officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Serenity House of Mooresville, 110 Center St., Mooresville, NC and online condolences may be made to the family at www.nicholsonfunerals.com The family would like to give a special thanks to Lavender Stoner Barrier, Bobbie Jo, Roger Crider, Tad Taylor, Grover Crosswhite, Dr. Sholar and staff, friends, neighbors, the whole entire family and the staff at the Serenity House in Mooresville for their love and support.
