John Neal Cranford Sr.

John Neal Cranford, Sr., died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Gordon Hospice House.

He was born in Iredell County to the late Madrid Cass Jordan and Carl Jordan.

Mr. Cranford was a retired truck driver for CommScope. He loved fishing and hunting. After his retirement he spent a number of years working with the Iredell County Sheriffs Office as a Special Deputy which he enjoyed greatly. He was a member of the Grassy Knob Masonic Lodge #471, and he liked spending time with his friends. More than anything he loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Shirley Nicholson Cranford, a son, John N. Cranford, Jr. (Melissa), a daughter, Chrystal Sloan (Tommy), 2 grandchildren, Jenna Cranford and Tara Sloan and a great-grandchild, Derrick Bradley.

A private graveside service will be held.
