John "Jack" Harder

John "Jack" Kenneth Harder, 92, died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House.



Jack was born July 24, 1926, in Altoona, PA, to the late Walter J. and Edith Long Harder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald W. Harder and a sister, Jeanette Stein. Jack served in the US Navy during WWII, was a plumber, a jack of all trades and enjoyed hunting.



On August 26, 1971, he married Norma Hall Harder, who survives. He is also survived by 2 daughters, Vickie Bartley and Sande Harder, both of Altoona, PA, a step-daughter, Terri Avramis of New Paltz, NY, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.



A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Otis Johnson and Rev. Darren Johnson officiating.
