John Edward Mullins

John Edward Mullins - 55, of Lexington, North Carolina, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 13, 2022. He was born on October 3, 1966, in Welch, West Virginia, to the late Dave Mullins and Mae (McGuire) Mullins. John enjoyed reading, especially anything related to History and Biblical Studies. He enjoyed watching football, especially rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals and the West Virginia Mountaineers. John worked as a Dock Supervisor for Old Dominion for 25 years before stepping away in 2014. He married the love of his life, Angie Jean Kivett, on September 21, 1998. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold Mullins, Tom Mullins, and Harold Mullins, and his sisters, Agnes Tilton, Patricia Wiley, Rebecca Payne, Mildred Payne, Tilda Viars, and Lottie Degner. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Angie Mullins; daughter, Kagan Hughes (Andrew); stepdaughter, Debra Tysinger; grandchildren, Lucy Hughes and Colton Crowell; brothers, Elza Mullins, James "Jim" Mullins (Loretta), and Warner "Mac" Mullins; sisters, Valarie Justice (Eddie) and Jacqueline Wess (Allen); and step-sister, Melda Adair.
