John Douglas Norton

John Douglas Norton, 57 of Statesville died Thursday, March 23, 2023.

He was born in Lansing, Michigan to Joan Marie Shiroda Norton and the late Douglas S. Norton.

John graduated from Bullard High School in Fresno, California and attended Front Range Community College. He was a people person and had a huge heart. John loved riding his lawnmower, camping, growing vegetables in the garden, working in his yard, throwing darts, and NASCAR.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 23 years, Mary Higgins Norton, his mother, Joan Marie Norton, a son, Eric Lee Carter, two brothers, Tom Norton and Dan Norton and his wife Shelle, nephews, Jordan Brown and Matthew Norton, nieces, Rebecca Price, Katie Norton and Ashley Norton and many friends. His precious fur baby, Kodi preceded him in death.

At his request there will be no formal services.

Nicholson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
