Joe James

William Joe James, 59, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 1, 2011, at his residence. Mr. James was born July 7, 1952 in Iredell County and was the son of the late William Howard James and Frances Wall James. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School and was a member of Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle. Mr. James was employed with McCombs Steel where he worked as a welder. Mr. James is survived by three sisters, Linda James Taylor, Patricia "Pat" James Bass and Teresa James Fox along with one brother, Jeffery James, all of Statesville. He is further survived by four nieces and nephews along with 10 great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
