Joan Lynch

[caption id="attachment_7294" align="alignleft" width="98" caption="Joan Lynch"][/caption] Mary Joan "Honey" Bustle Lynch, 76, of Statesville, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014, at Gordon Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lynch was born on February 25, 1937, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Flake Bustle and Martha Lambert Bustle. She was a graduate of Iredell County Schools and she was married to Clayton Arnold Lynch who preceded her in death on October 30, 1987. Mrs. Lynch was retired from Arby's and she was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Bill Bustle along with one sister, Patricia Davis. Mrs. Lynch is survived by four sons, Ricky Lambert of Statesville, Tony Lambert (Tammy) of Harmony, Donald Lambert (Crystal) of CT, and Joe Lynch of Marion along with one daughter, Smatha L. Dunkle (Mike), of Statesville. She is also survived by one brother, Ronald Bustle (Flossie) and two sisters, Patsy Snead and Jackie Rumple, all of Statesville along with 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lynch will be conducted at 3:30 pm Saturday, March 1, 2014, in the Taylor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Dingess officiating. Active pallbearers will be Tony Lambert, Warren Dilger, Eddie Bustle, Terry Holleman, Paul Snead, and Robbie Snead. The family will visit with friends Saturday afternoon from 12:30 until 2:30 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
