Jimmy Roberts

Mr. Jimmy Leon Roberts, 67, of Statesville, NC passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Gordon Hospice House surrounded by his family. Mr. Roberts was born July 28, 1944 in Orangeburg, SC and was the son of the late William Theodore Roberts and Sallie Moody Roberts. He was a graduate of Orangeburg High School and on April 7, 1979 was married to Sandra Hydrick Roberts, who survives of the home. He was a member of Northview Church of Christ and was employed by Southeastern Freight Lines. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by one sister Mary Ann Boyd. In addition to his wife of 33 years, Jim is survived by one daughter, Pam Beason and husband Joey, of Greenville, SC; one son, Michael Roberts of Statesville; one grandson, Quinn Beason of Greenville; one sister, Betty Beaudreau of North Augusta, SC and one brother; William "Tater" Roberts of Lexington, SC and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life memorial service for Jim Roberts will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Northview Church of Christ with Minister Kirk Sams officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church and at other times will be assembled at the Roberts residence.
