Jimmy Johnson

James Allen Johnson, 68, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, May 04, 2011, at the Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Johnson was born November 7, 1942 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Tolison B. Johnson and Edith Myers Johnson. He attended Statesville schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Southern Screw following 26 years of service and also worked at Acme Metals. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by one brother, Melvin "Sonny" Johnson. He is survived by two sisters, Christine J. Beggarly and Hilda J. Keaton (Joe), both of Statesville along with one brother, Ronnie Lee Johnson of Hiddenite. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Joe Dellinger officiating. The family will visit with friends following the services.
