Jessica Teague

Jessica Dawn Teague 43, of Taylorsville North Carolina passed away at home on September 8, 2024. Jessica was born on August 15, 1981, in Statesville to Nicus Hamrick Jr. and Janet Herman Hamrick.

Jessica is survived by her parents, a daughter Haley Echevarria-Morrise (Richard) & her son Dawson Smith. Her sister Crystal Richardson (Travis), a niece and nephew Kaitlynn Richardson & Landon Richardson, & Aunt Martha Beam (Mark). Both sides of her grandparent preceded her in death. Jessica Lived a life to the fullest. She never met a stranger and was always lending a helping hand. Her kind heart and caring way that she showed her family and friends are without measure. She loved taking her kids and anyone that would go with her to charitable events, Carowinds, West Iredell pools, and to Church. She attended Cler View Missionary Baptist Church. Jessica loved God and loved to share his word with anyone that would listen. Jessica would also visit other churches as well. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jessica worked a Correctional officer, and her last job was at Shell Convenience store on Hwy 115 for 6 years. She loved her job and customers. Mr. Shaw, her boss, was like family. She enjoyed talking and getting to know the people that came into the store. She never meets a stranger!

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 6pm-8pm at Clear View Missionary Baptist Church at 180 S. Lacey St. Statesville, NC 28677. Rev Mike Dufault & Keith Bills officiate her service. We wanted to thank everyone that showed up and showed support for Jessica and her family.
