Jesse Beauford Yates

HIGH POINT - Mr. Jesse Beauford Yates, 64, of High Point, NC passed away October 20, 2020 at High Point Medical Center. A Guilford County native, Mr. Yates is the son of the late Claude McIver and Bessie Vuncannon Yates and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1977 to 1980. He was employed by Lowes Home Improvement and served as a security guard in the trucking industry. Jesse enjoyed playing Rook and board games, loved football and NASCAR racing, and was an avid coin collector. Jesses kindness was demonstrated by his attentiveness to the needs of his neighbors and willingness to do anything for them. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yates is predeceased by 5 sisters Gladys Farlow, Claudine Drawdy, Elsie Coltrane, Susan Foster, Stella Whitley and 3 brothers Norman, Calvin, and Kenneth Yates. He is survived by 3 sisters Phyllis Parnell, Pat Johnson and Lori Scott (all of High Point) and 2 brothers Robert Yates of Reno, Nevada and Harold Yates of High Point, and very best friend Debra Means of High Point. Funeral Services with military honors will be held 11:00 am November 17, 2020 at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC
