Jerry Lee Moore Sr.

Jerry Lee Moore, Sr., 72, of Statesville died, December 5, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 9, 1948, in Iredell County to the late Vance Moore and Elsie Basinger King. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry L. Moore, Jr., brothers, Vernice Moore, Curtis Moore, Billy Moore, Frank Moore, sisters, Kathleen Adams, Rachel Privette and Gilda Ruth Poole.

Jerry was a people person and was quite a jokester. He loved singing karaoke, especially Elvis songs. He enjoyed square dancing and was a caller for the dances. He loved to play pool with his brother, Frank. More than anything, Jerry loved his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Donna Rankins (Rhyne), Brittany Moore, three grandchildren, Austin Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Tiffany Moore, two great-grandchildren, Mason Moore, Kyro Jefferson,his girlfriend, Betty Barnes, a brother, Vance Moore (Nancy) and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 11:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Phil Pearson officiating.
