Jennifer Mills

On Friday, February 23rd, 2018 Jennifer Benfield Mills went home to be with the lord. Jennifer was born on February 28th, 1957 in Statesville, North Carolina to the late Joe Garland Benfield. She is survived by her beloved husband Timothy Fielding Mills of 40 years, her sons Justin Fielding Mills and Timothy Logan Mills (Elizabeth Witherspoon). She is also survived by her mother Ann Mayberry Benfield of Statesville, Sister Velda Frownie (Sam) of Davidson, her brother Joe Benfield of Statesville, mother in law Marlene Mills of Statesville and two very special children Aubrey Grace Witherspoon, granddaughter of Statesville and Luke Dotzel- a special little boy of Troutman and her best friend, Cynthia Hall and several other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Last but not least her beloved dog, Buddy.



Jennifer was a graduate of South Iredell High School class of 1976. She also attended Mitchell Junior College.



Jennifer loved life, her friends, and her family. She was the "peacemaker" for everyone and everything. She enjoyed helping others and working with children. She volunteered numerous hours at Troutman Middle School and Statesville Christian School. Most of all Jennifer loved the Lord. She had several bible verses that she loved but two of her favorite were Colossians 1:1-23 and Romans 8:28-32. The most important thing Jennifer wanted in life was for everyone to love and accept the Lord.



The visitations will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home 6-8pm Monday evening February 26th, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Western Avenue Baptist Church at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon February 27th, 2018. Following the graveside services will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens.



In lieu of flowers the family would like donations sent to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th floor New York, NY 10004 or a donor of your choice.
