Jeffrey "Jeff" Morris Mullins

Jeffrey Morris Mullins, 61, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017. He was born in Richlands, VA on October 8, 1955 to Joe and Margaret Worley Mullins. Jeff was a graduate of Marshall University and on December 13, 1975, married Kathy Jefferson Mullins. They shared over 41 years of marriage. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Jeff was the real MVP. He honored "Home Sweet Home." He was a beloved husband, adored dad and granddad, impressive son, and trusted confidant. His joyful spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his parents and wife, Kathy; two daughters, Emily Mullins and Sarah Long (John); a son, Andrew Mullins; precious grandson, Carson Knox Long; a sister, Beth Barker (Floyd); and special friends, Dr. James Foushee (Susan) and Hewitt Linyard (Connie). A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Drs. Jack Causey and Nelson Granade officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service in Adams Hall.
