Jeffrey "Jeff" A. Johnson, 49, passed away on March 19, 2016 in Charlotte, NC. He was born on October 12, 1966 in Statesville, NC and is survived by his parents Melissa and Ed Corbean and Barry and Linda Johnson. He is also survived by Mitzi and Kevin Gooden, Katelyn, Kaleb, and Kane Gooden; Roy Patterson; Janelle and John Henderson; Jennifer, Daniel and Andre Murillo; Randy and Tracie Walker, Brittany Dobbins, Preston and Landon Walker along with scores of beloved friends and family. Jeff's friends and family will be holding a celebration of life at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #9 (1201 Hawthorne Ln., Charlotte, NC 28205) on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. There will also be a memorial celebration held at Front Street Baptist Church (1403 W. Front St., Statesville, NC 28677) on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The celebration will be led by Kaleb Gooden and Rev. Tim Stutts in the Holland Chapel. Receiving of family and friends will take place immediately following in the fellowship hall. Jeff had a life-long love and support for law enforcement and was deeply touched by the care provided to his family members by Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to CMPD Hope (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department), Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, or Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #9.
