Jeanie Marie Gunter

Jeanie Marie Lawing Gunter, 73, of Statesville, died Thursday at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on November 7, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Lawing and Beulah Moore Odom. She was retired from Thomasville Upholstery and enjoyed fishing and motorcycle racing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dale Gunter. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Rimmer (Craig) of Statesville, two sons, Jack Gunter (Cora Mae) of Statesville and Mike Gunter of Troutman, along with 6 grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Barbara Evans of Morganton. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Gunter. Services celebrating Jeanie's life will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. H.L. Talbert officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
