J.B Cole

Mr. J.B. Cole, 78, of Lexington, NC passed away at his home Sunday, July 17, 2022.

The son of the late Charlotte Edith Eggers Cole and Marlin Odell Cole, J.B. was born January 12, 1944, in Watauga County, NC.

J.B. worked for Food Lion, Inc. as a truck driver before retiring in 2003. J.B. was of the Christian faith and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. J.B. enjoyed spending time with his family and in Valle Crucis, NC at his family homeplace.

J.B. married the love of his life, Sandra Lee Proctor, August 6, 1967, and they remained married for 53 years before her passing in 2020. J.B. was a loving and devoted husband and father. J.B. cared for his wife full-time for many years. J.B. served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

In addition to his parents, Charlotte and Marlin, and his wife, Sandra Cole, J.B. was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Lubert.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Windy Cole-Hedrick of Lexington; son Chris Cole (Corinne) of Wallburg; four grandchildren, Cole Hedrick (Treasure) of Lexington, Lucas Hedrick of Lexington, Mason and Logan Cole of Wallburg; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Hedrick, Wyatt Hedrick, and sisters, Ruth Earp, Francis Koontz, and Linda Westervelt, brother-in-law Will Lubert, and several nieces and nephews.
