Javester Teal

Javester Teal, age 69, of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at his home in Thomasville. Born on September 6, 1953, in Anson County, NC, he was the son of Margaret McBride Teal and the late Hubert Teal.

Javester was known as a man with "a great sense of humor." He had a passion for cars and loved his Lord and Savior. Javester loved going to church and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville.

In addition to his father, Hubert Teal, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Green Teal; his sister, Shirley Dunlap; and his brothers, Hubert Teal, Jr. and Terry Teal.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Margaret McBride Teal; his daughter, Schaintikia Leak (Reginald); grandchildren, Schaintel Robinson and Jordyn Leak; sister, Betty Bowden (Bernard); brothers, Alvin Teal (Felicia) and James Teal; aunts, Hattie Bennett (Walter), and Myrtle Hardison; uncle, Lonnie McBride; nieces and nephews, Latonya Smith (Chris), Erica Teal, Quanda Dunlap, Jada Duncan, Donovan Teal (Lacie), Cortlandt Teal (Carmen), Julian Teal, and Kevin Crowder; many great nieces and great nephews; and many cousins.

A Celebration of Javester's Life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 6, 2023, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Shannon Jessup and Reverend Emma Lee Tate officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.
