Janie Johnson

Mrs. Janie Fink Johnson, 83, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Iredell County on November 14, 1932, and was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Mary Lackey Fink. She was a graduate of Scotts High School and on March 24, 1955, she married Thomas W. "Fuzzy" Johnson, who survives. Mrs. Johnson worked as office manager for Fuzzy's Appliance, Inc. from 1972 until 1996. She was a member of First ARP Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Fuzzy Johnson, who she shared 61 years of marriage until her death, a son, Karl B. Johnson (Kylene) of Statesville and a daughter, Sieglinde Allen of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Mary Allen and Katie Johnson, a grandson, Kristian Johnson along with two great-grandchildren, Jalyn and Jerry Lippard. She is further survived by a brother, Mebane "Red" Fink and three sisters, Bonnie Hager and Mary Morrow, all of Statesville and Betty Williams of Michigan. Funeral services for Janie Johnson will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2016, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Russell Morrow and Adam Inman, Tim Karriker, Andy Rimmer, Roger Scott, and Kristian Johnson.
