Janie Goodman Sidden

Janie Goodman Sidden, 64, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Rowan County on October 2, 1953 to the late Fred Monroe Goodman and Dolly Louemma Cleary Goodman.



Janie was a graduate of North Wilkes High School and attended Mitchell College. On June 6, 1971, she married Ronnie Van Sidden, who survives. They shared over 47 years of marriage before her passing. She worked for Sara Lee Manufacturing as a sewer. Janie was very loving the kind hearted. She never knew a stranger and will be greatly missed.



Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronnie; a daughter, Deborah Denise Sidden; two sons, Richard Dale Sidden (Lorilee) and Michael Lynn Sidden (April), all of Statesville; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert, David, and Kenneth Goodman, of Wilkesboro. She is also survived by her loving pets, Maddie and Jack.



A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends following the service.
