Jamie Gilbert

Donald James "Jamie" Gilbert, 38, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Fayetteville, NC on June 4, 1975 to Freddie Gilbert and the late Cynthia Dianne Fox Gilbert. Jamie was a graduate of South Iredell High School and attended UNC-C. He was married to Amy Brannen in 2000 and had worked for Wachovia for 17 years as a production manager. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Jamie is survived by his wife, Amy Gilbert; his father, Freddie Gilbert of Troutman; step-mother, Cindy Gilbert; in-laws, Butch and Doris Brannen, of Mooresville; step-sisters, Jennifer and Maranda Elwood; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Heidi. A graveside funeral service for Mr. Gilbert will be held 3:00PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Susan Bame officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:30 to 3:00 at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1950 Salisbury Hwy, Statesville, NC 28677.
