James Xavier Helms

James Xavier Helms, 15, of Harmony, died January 10, 2019. Born September 12, 2003 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, he was a son of Sean and Kimberly Benge Mitchell. He was a tenth grade student at North Iredell High School and participated the Raiders Team, J.R.O.T.C. and sang in the church choir at Harmony Baptist Church where he was very active.



In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Charles Helms (Elizabeth Shoemaker), a sister, Jessica Deal, his Maternal Grandmother, Vickie Loftin, his Maternal Grandfather, Johnny Benge (Brenda), 2 nephews, Niko Helms and Jason Windsor, his aunt, Lynn Snead (Rob), two uncles, Mark Helms and Timothy Helms and three cousins.



Services celebrating James' life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Harmony Baptist Church Life Center with Rev. Jacob Scott officiating. The family will then greet friends following the service in the church sanctuary.
