James William Cook

Mr. James "Jimmy" William Cook, 64, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cook was born July 24, 1951 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Willard David Cook and Eloise Little Cook, who survives. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School, class of 1970 and on February 17, 1974, he was married to Susan Davis Cook, who survives of the home. He was a lifelong member of Concord Presbyterian Church and worked for Willard D. Cook Roofing. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two sons, William Bryan Cook (Amy) of Stony Point, Andrew James Cook of Matthews, NC; one grandson, Case William Cook of Stony Point; four brothers, Thomas Edward Cook (Bonnie), Michael David Cook (Teresa), Daniel Stephen Cook (Kathy), Jeffery Alan Cook (Sandi); one brother-in-law, George Davis (Pearl) of Harmony and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Suzanne Cook. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kyle Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Doug Cook, Ben Cook, Matthew Cook, Brandon Cook, Joe Cook, Fred Cook, Joe Raymer and Charlie Little, Jr. Memorials may be made to Concord Presbyterian Church Transportation Fund, 3867 Taylorsville Hwy., Statesville, NC 28625 and online condolences may be made to the family at www.nicholsonfunerals.com Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Jimmy Cook.
