James William Combs

Mr. James "Jimmy" William Combs of Statesville, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on November 17th, 2021. He was born on January 12th, 1952, the son of the late Robert and Ruby Combs. James was predeceased by his siblings, Bobby and Joyce.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Margaret Combs; his daughter, Angela Wilcox (Eric); his sister, Sheila Price (Bobby); his granddaughter, Shelly Stroud (Stan); his three great-grandchildren, Andi, Jensen and Tarryn; and his nieces and nephews.

James was a devoted father and "Pawpaw." He enjoyed playing music, going camping and riding ATV's, and spending time with family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Gordon Hospice House for their help and wonderful care.

Please join us for a Memorial Service celebrating the life of James Combs on Saturday, November 27th, 2021 at 2:00pm. Services to be held at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 114 Bethany Rd, Statesville, NC 28625 with Timmy Painter, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of James may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2314 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
