James Lonnie Sigmon

James Lonnie Sigmon, 80, formally of Olin, passed away Thursday November 12, 2015 at the Brian Center. He was born on July 22, 1935 in Iredell County to the late James Odell Sigmon and Era Bell Sigmon Honeycutt. Mr. Sigmon was educated in the Iredell County Schools and was married to Reba Ann Mounce Sigmon, who preceded him in death on September 8, 2014. He was a member of Old Fashion Gospel Way Baptist Church. He was retired from J.C. Penny after 37 years of service. Along with his parents and wife, Reba, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Honeycutt. Left to cherish his memory are five children, Wanda Bare, Terry Sigmon, Jerry Sigmon, Elaine Shiplett, and Tim Sigmon; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Sigmon will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Old Fashion Gospel Way Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
