James "Joe" Edward Holland

James "Joe" Edward Holland, 71 of Statesville, went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, June 5, 2017. Joe was the son of the late R.B. and Retha Lunsford Holland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Pauline Rash Holland. He is survived by three sisters, Betty (David) Bennett his primary caretakers of Statesville, Becky (Buster) Richardson of Statesville, Jane (Gary) Sweet of Hiddenite, three brothers, Charles (Connie) Holland of Statesville, R.G. Holland of Yerington, Nevada and Jerry Holland of Harmony. Joe was a very loving individual and was loved by all who knew him. His greatest pleasure was riding his four-wheeler and golf cart. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Zion Baptist Church in Union Grove with Dr. Joey Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00-12:00 p.m. at the church. Active pallbearers will be Tony Edwards, Roger Bennett, Michael Green, Brian Holland, Adam Holland and Tony Baity.
