James Clinton Church

June 29, 1936 — November 6, 2018

Mr. James Clinton Church went to his heavenly home to see his Lord and his wife for their anniversary which would have been on November 8th. Born in Iredell County on June 29, 1936, he was a son of the late Harold Young Church and Daisy Hicks Church. He was a charter member of Mt. Sinai Evangelical Methodist Church and part owner of Church Brothers Grading. He loved his family first and foremost and loved collecting old tractors and going to tractor shows.



Survivors include his sons, Joe Church and Jeff Church (Amanda) and a daughter, Janie Speagle (Paul) along with brothers, Sam and Marvin Church. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.



Services celebrating Mr. Church's life will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Evangelical Methodist Church with Rev. David Walters and Rev. John Philips officiating. He will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
