James Bradford Mclelland

James Bradford (Brad) McLelland, 54, of Statesville, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at his home. Born in Iredell County on June 11, 1960, he was a son of James Donald McLelland who survives and the late Dorothy Mae Millsaps McLelland. Brad was retired from Iredell County Solid Waste and graduated from North Iredell High School. On June 30, 1979, he married the former Darlene Lackey who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Matthew Bradley McLelland and Austin Lee McLelland, both of Statesville, two daughters, Kristy McLelland Rimmer (Anthony Alan Rimmer) of Stony Point and Melissa McLelland Lyons of Statesville. Also surviving are three sisters: Peggy McLelland Call, Ann McLelland Hill and Kay McLelland Mason all of Statesville. Services celebrating Brad's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Mountain View United Methodist Church with Rev. Henry Cook and Rev. Daniel Melton officiating. He will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
