James Andrew Funderburk, 60, passed away July 28, 2023.
James was born In Iredell county to the late Johnny Mize Funderburk and Margaret Allene White Funderburk. During his year at White Sales, James started his career in Appliance Repair and carried it until he started his own business. He loved to help people. He was a die hard Washington Redskins can, loved to play golf and most recently he began a passion playing pool was on an APA (American Poolplayers Association) team. James liked to build model cars and planes. James had a very big passion for cooking. James also loved to make anyone laugh. James loved and was loved by his family and would do anything for them. James’ grandchildren brightened his day and made him smile.
James is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joey Privette.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Funderburk; his children, daughter: Krystine Funderburk, Son: James Eric Funderburk, Daughter: Danielle Marie Funderburk; his grandchildren, granddaughter: Kyra Rogue Coleman, grandson: Charlie Reed Morrison; His siblings, Sister: Debbie Funderburk, Sister: Rhonda Gaye Williams (David), Brother: Tommy Hendren (Lynda), Sister: Sonya Alman (Alan), and Brother: Randy Mann, 13 nephews and nieces, his uncle Albert White (Becky) and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Fairview Baptist Church in Statesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
