Jacqueline "Jackie" Fox

Barbara Jacqueline (Jackie) Stewart Fox, 94, of Statesville, died Sunday at Brookdale Peachtree, after a period of declining health. 

 Born in Iredell County on February 23,1930, she was a daughter of the late Harvey E. Stewart and Cleo Morrow Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard (Buck) Fox, two sisters, Betty Warren and Lois Isenhour.

 Jackie was a lifelong member of New Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, yard sales, cooking, going out to eat and to singings with the "Eufola Girls". For many years, she was a cook at Sunshine Restaurant on Oakland Ave.

 Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Johnny Fox (Diana), two brothers, Joe Stewart (Linda) and Donald Stewart (Brenda), and several nieces and nephews along with special cousins, Audrey and Roger Crider.

 Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday at New Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Mason and Pastor Roger Crider officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30 until 1:45 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
