Jacqueline "Jackie" Dixon

Betty Jacqueline "Jackie" Souther Dixon, 86, of Statesville, passed away, Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Dixon was born February 11, 1930 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Gaither Souther and Cora Lee Stove Souther Wyles. She attended Troutman, NC schools and in 1941 was married to the late Lloyd Hansel Dixon. She is survived by one daughter, Shelia D. Wyles (Edward) of Mooresville, three sons, Steve Andrew Dixon (Rosa T.) of Stony Point, Lloyd Richard Dixon (Janie) of Newton, Roger Dale Dixon (Anna) of Cary, NC; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also, two brothers, Elmer Souther (Joyce) of Mooresville, Gene Souther of Charlotte and two sisters, Myrna S. Hubbard of Mt. Ulla, NC and Annie Louise S. Huffman of Statesville. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hamlyn officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
