Jack Wilkinson Sigmon

Jack Wilkinson Sigmon, Jr. 61, of Statesville, peacefully passed away, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Jack was born December 7, 1953 in Iredell County and was the son of Margaret Almond Sigmon of Statesville and the late Jack Wilkinson Sigmon, Sr. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School, class of 1971 and North Carolina State University, class of 1975. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a project manager for Sun Energy1. He was a loyal Carolina Panthers Fan and had an incredible appreciation for music. Jack loved all people. He loved life; the good, the bad and the ugly. He approached each day as an opportunity to grow and learn, and invited any and all to join in. Above all, Jack was a father, a role to which he gave himself completely. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Emmylou Sigmon Madison (Ben) of Blowing Rock, NC, one granddaughter, Luna Kate Madison of Blowing Rock, life long partner, Elaine Frazier Sigmon, one brother, Don Sigmon (Rachel) of Hilton Head, SC, two nieces, Krystina S. Fluty (Joel) of Asheville, Kendall Sigmon of Michigan, and honorary daughter, Mary Carol Wagner of Statesville. Jack was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Stephanie Kate "Katie" Sigmon in 2013. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Causey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Adams Hall.
