Jack Lee Bottoms

On the evening of September 5, 2018, a beloved son and brother, Jacky Lee Bottoms, went home to be with the Lord where he was greeted with open arms by his mother. Jack, 55, of Newark, California and formerly of Statesville, died in Newark, California. Born in Iredell County on April 19, 1963, he was a son of Noah Frank Bottoms who survives and is of Statesville and the late Marjorie Bottoms Elliott who died in 2012.



He was a shipping manager for Shaw Industries and a graduate of West Iredell High School. Jack had lived in California for several years. He was known by his many friends there as A.J. or Action Jackson.



In addition to his father Frank (Berdie), he is survived by two brothers, Thomas A. (Tom) Bottoms and Joseph F. (Joe) Bottoms. Additional survivors include nieces: Nikki Pelland, Patricia Bottoms and Holly Grace Bottoms, and great-nephews: Samuel Pelland and Christian Mileski, along with numerous aunts and uncles.



Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dan Wilkers and Rev. Howard Wagoner officiating. Pallbearers will be: Samuel Pelland, Rick McLure, Tommy Ray Chapman, Jessie Bottoms, Gary Parks and Dale Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home.
