Jack Barry Creasy

Mr. Jack Barry Creasy, 70, of Olin, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on May 26, 1948, he was a son of the late Walter Creasy and Tommy Tomlin Creasy.



Mr. Creasy was a charter member and deacon of Union Grove Christian Church which he dearly loved. He loved to travel out west and visited his sister in Alaska on numerous occasions. He loved the mountains, especially the Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway and enjoyed sitting on his porch and listening to music and visiting with his friends. He very much loved his grandchildren. He also loved watching Gunsmoke and Clint Eastwood movies. He served in the U. S. Navy in Viet Nam in 1967 and 1968 and was an Electrical Estimator for 37 years for G.L. Wilson Building Company.



He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, the former Gretchel Hicks, a son, Jack Landon Creasy, a daughter, LeAnn Hawkins (Mark), grandchildren: Isaac and Thomas Creasy and Ashley and Jackson Hawkins along with two sisters, Jan May (Dane) and Kathy Lapish.



Services celebrating Jack's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Union Grove Christian Church with Rev. Allen Lunsford officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Wilson Family, including: Timmy Adams, Rex Byers, Matt Fisher, Greg Fox, Tim Hardwick, Robbie Hayes, Adam Millsaps, Chris Millsaps, Danny Millsaps, Phil Millsaps, Matthew Pettis, Bill Pope, Fred Samuels and John Torrence (JT) and, Dan Brown, Jerry Cass, Woody Childers, Bill Jarvis, Wayne Jarvis, Frank Johnson, Joe Johnson, Mark Johnson, Clay Lunsford, John Miller, Lewis Myers, John Smith, Joseph Stroud and Jimmy White.
