Iii Kyle Eller

October 17, 1960 — June 16, 2014

Kyle Clifton Eller, III, 53, of Statesville, died on Monday, June 16, 2014, from injuries received following an automobile and bicycle accident. Born in Statesville, N.C. on October 17, 1960, he was the son of the late Kyle Clifton Eller, Jr. and Elizabeth Miller Eller. He was a 1979 graduate of Statesville High School and a 1983 graduate of N.C. State University where he earned a degree in Business Management. On April 25, 1987, he was married to Kristi Adams Eller, who survives. Kyle started his career in heavy equipment sales in his grandfathers business, Interstate Equipment Co., which was founded in 1946. Kyle was self employed since 1987 and was Vice-President and Secretary of Carolina Pit Crew, Inc. from 1987 until 2012. Since that time, he was affiliated in marketing with the Vemma Corporation. He was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church where he was involved in Children's Ministries. Being involved with children's programs was very special to him and he enjoyed coaching soccer teams and other events. He served on the Board of Directors of the local YMCA and was an outstanding and avid athlete. Kyle was a pilot and loved to fly, enjoyed running, swimming, playing golf, and most of all for the past 20 years being on his bicycle almost every day. It was not uncommon for him to ride for 40 to 60 miles a day. His life was ended by a tragic accident on Monday afternoon. In addition to his wife of 27 years, Kyle is survived by one son, Kyle Clifton Eller, IV, of Fort Collins, CO, one daughter, Elizabeth Neil Eller, of the home and UNC-Greensboro along with two brothers, Charles Ivey Eller (Sherry) of Davidson and William Raiford Eller of Durham. He is also survived by two nephews and one niece, Charles Ivey Eller, Jr., Peter Eller and Ingrid Eller, his mother-in-law, Rosie Galliher Adams of Statesville, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Sheri Raymer of Greensboro and their daughters, Catherine and Claire Raymer. He is further survived by an uncle, Frank Eller and a niece, Stuart Eller, both of Statesville. A service to celebrate the life of Kyle Eller will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2014, at Western Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. James Cartin and Rev. Jeff Spry officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Western Avenue Baptist Church and at other times at the Eller home. Active and Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Spencer, Peter Ramsey, Tommy King, Rusty McLelland, Mark Dale, Phil Perkins, Steve Cox, Sherrill Deaton, Steve Cox, Burgo Gill, Allen Bates, and Phil Rogers. Memorials may be made to the Good News Club, special children's fund, Western Avenue Baptist Church, 1206 Museum Road, Statesville, NC 28625, or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
