Henry Britt

Henry Forest Britt, 79, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 08, 2014, at his home. Mr. Britt was born July 21, 1935, in Fairmont, NC to the late Henry Forest and Louise Barnes Britt. He graduated from Fairmont High School and served four years in the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Kearsage and the USS Midway. Following his time in the Navy, he graduated from Campbell College (now University), attended UNC Chapel Hill and graduated with the 1962 class of St. Andrews Presbyterian College. In 1962, he married Betty Jean Reames at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston, SC. They shared 51
