Helen Williams

Mrs. Helen Muse Williams, 85, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born in Mecklenburg County on August 16, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Don E. Muse and Willie Mae Elliott Muse. Mrs. Williams attended Iredell County Schools and in 1954 she married Wade A. Williams, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, George E. Muse, Sr., and one sister, Gladys Muse. She was owner and operator of Williams Grocery in Rock Hill, SC and a member of Monticello Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams is survived by a nephew, Dr. George Muse, Jr., close family friends, Lorenzo and Gabby Daniel, along with her church family, Janice & Don Grey, Tab & Jeannie Stikeleather, Jeanette Warren, Dot Holcombe, Thelma Odell, Glenda Kelly, and Rovena Edison. Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, February 17, 2014, at Monticello Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Henderson and Rev. Glenn Dancy officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
