Helen Ruth Graham

Helen Swicegood Goforth Graham, 89, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Maude Swicegood. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Willie Lee Goforth, whom she married in 1941. Her second marriage was to the late Haden Graham in 1974. A son, Kenny Lee Goforth and two sisters, Mae Deal and Thelma Swicegood along with two brothers, Marvin and Otis Swicegood also preceded her in death. Mrs. Graham is survived by a daughter, Beverly Kay Goforth of the home; a grandson, Christopher Lee Goforth; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Goforth; and two great grandchildren, Addison Goforth and Dawson Harris. She is further survived by four sisters, Nellie Austin, Betty Jo Anderson, Margie Peacock and Peggy Redmond; four nephews; and eight nieces. A graveside service will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Jerry Gibson conducting the service. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
