Helen Royer

Helen Royer, 81, of Statesville, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at home surrounded by family. Helen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ron, daughter Rhonda Douglas and fiance Eric Burnette, and two grandsons, Ryan Douglas and Michael Seville. She is also survived by a sister, Johanna Geiger.







Helen was born July 25, 1936, in Irwin, PA. She graduated from Norwin High School in 1954, and worked at Penn Power with her lifelong friend, Janice Eichelberger. She also worked for Goodyear Aerospace, and upon moving to Berkeley Springs, WV, worked for the Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Helen and Ron spent 10 years full-time RV-ing, traveling the country together. She enjoyed traveling, reading, painting, and playing the organ.







The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County for their never-ending compassion and care.







No public memorial services will be held. Donations in Helen's name may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
