Hector Samuel Mejia Barahona

Hector Samuel Mejia Barahona, age 41, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Michigan. Born on March 28, 1981, in Honduras, he was the son of Hector Daniel Mejia Paz and Rosa Vilma Barahona.

Hector always cherished his family; they were his number one priority. He enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with his family. He took pride in having the most beautiful wife, and the most beautiful daughters. Hector was the best husband, father, son, uncle, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 18 years, Mirna Mejia; his lovely four daughter, Rachel Mejia, Mia Mejia, Camila Mejia, and Sophia Mejia; his son, Abiel Mejia; his parents, Hector Daniel Mejia Paz and Rosa Vilma Barahona; sister, Patricia Mejia and husband, Merlin Hernandez; brother, Jonathan Mejia; nieces, Daniella Hernandez and Gabriella Hernandez; and paternal grandmother, Dolores Paz.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, March 3, 2023, at Nicholson Funeral Home. A private family viewing will be held on Saturday prior to the service. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 4, 2023, in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
