Harold "Dwayne" Martin

Harold Dwayne Martin, 61 of Statesville NC, passed away at Jurney’s Assisted Living of Statesville on Friday, November 3, 2023, surrounded by family and beloved staff of the facility. “Wayne” as he was affectionately called, was born June 29, 1962, to the late Katherine “Shirley” Flowers Martin and the late Harold “BJ” Martin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lawrence Martin, and a son, Anjuan Connor. 
Wayne was a gentle spirit. He will be remembered for his ability to connect with others and make them smile. There will never be a more loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His support of America’s team never wavered, regardless of season or wins/losses. “This is our year”, he would proudly exclaim to anyone who would listen. 
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are Randy Flowers (Everlena) of Lebanon, OH; Todd Martin (Natasha) of Seattle, WA; and Tuesday Martin (Kyle) of Las Vegas, NV and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
