Harold Linwood Huffman

Harold Linwood Huffman, age 78, of Statesville passed away May 18, 2021.

He was born June 1, 1942 in Sweet Springs, West Virginia the son of the late Beryle Lee Huffman and Martha H. Andrews Huffman. Also preceding him in death is a sister, Alice Lee Wayling.

Harold spent his life devoted to the betterment of the working class and was in service for 28 years with multiple labor unions as an International Representative. He ended his career with the United Steel Workers and was V.P. for the AFL-CIO in the state of North Carolina for two years. Harold was active in the Shriners, loved to travel, enjoyed playing poker and his sense of humor made him friends everywhere he went. He loved his family and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 25 years, Angela Huffman; son, Timothy Wayne Huffman and wife Anne; brother, Richard Franklyn Huffman; step children, Jessica Stroud and husband Joshua ; step grandchildren, "Bub" Stroud, Destiney and her husband Timmy Williams ; step great grandchildren, Lillian Rose and Jasper Lynn Williams; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday, May 24, 2021 at Nicholson Funeral Home, 135 E. Front Street, Statesville, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, NC.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Statesville Masonic Lodge #27, 302 East Front Street Statesville, NC 28677
