Harold Eugene Daniels

Harold Eugene Daniels, 82, of Statesville, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 28, 2016 at Autumn Care of Statesville. Mr. Daniels was born September 1, 1934 in Iredell County and was the son of the late William Sherrill Daniels and Mary Pearl Smith Daniels. He attended Iredell County schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. He was a member of Command Baptist Church and was retired from Deal Machine Shop in 1996. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Eugene Daniels (Brenda) of Statesville, five grandchildren, Jessica D. Wood (Jeremiah), Adam Daniels, Evan Daniels (Stacy), Rachel Cheek, Rebecca Cheek; four great grandchildren, one brother, William Carol Daniels (Evelyn) of Harmony; one sister, Melba Ciconte of CA, and son-in-law, Mike Cheek (Karen). In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter Cathy D. Cheek. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Command Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the service.
