Mrs. Gloria Brown Michalowski, 69, of Statesville, died Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born in Iredell County on July 31, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Archie Brown and Eva Elliott Brown. She was a former auto dealer F & I manager and a homemaker. She enjoyed her family and church. She was a member of Rose Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Brown, along with her parents. Survivors include her husband, John W. Michalowski, sons, Jeffrey Craig Pope of Taylorsville and Eddie Pope of Statesville, step sons: Stephen Pope of Stony Point and James Pope of Statesville, John Michalowski of Statesville and step daughters: Stephanie Pope of Statesville and April Michalowski of Edgewater, Fla., along with her two brothers, Leonard and Michael Brown, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services celebrating Gloria's life will be conducted at 11:00 Friday, December 4, 2015 at Rose Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Lepley and Rev. Lynn Lepley officiating. She will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Condolences may be sent online to the family to www.nicholsonfunerals.com.
