Glenn Martin Kurfees

Mr. Glenn Martin Kurfees, 87, of Statesville, passed away, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Kurfees was born December 25, 1927 in Rowan County and was the son of the late Sanford "C.S." Kurfees and Edna Williams Kurfees. He attended Rowan County schools and was married to Lora Belle Rash Kurfees, who survives of the home. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Fastners. In addition to his wife, he is survived three children, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Kurfees was preceded in death by one grandson, Marty Kurfees, two sisters, Mary Helen Wilson, Evelyn Phifer and one brother, Harold Kurfees. Graveside funeral services were held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Scott Eanes officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full military rites.
