Glenn Elliott Troutman, Sr.

Mr. Glenn Elliott Troutman, Sr., 86, of Wheaton, Illinois, passed away October 11, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Arleta, two sons, Glenn Elliott Troutman, Jr. (Lynda), William Wilson Troutman (Linda) and a daughter, Gracelyn Butler (Terry). Six grandchildren also survive: Jonathan, Jeffrey, Allyson, Amelia and Brian Troutman and Thomas Butler (Hope). Additional survivors include a brother, William Troutman (Linda) and a sister, Laura Jane Lockman (David). Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Lynch Troutman and his parents, Glenn Bernard Troutman and Josie Lee Beard Troutman. Glenn was born in Statesville, graduated from Troutman High School and the University of North Carolina. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He had a career as an area marketing manager for Sears in Chicago, Illinois where he raised his family. Interment will occur at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 13th at the Troutman Family Historical Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate is life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14th at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman with Pastor Dieter Punt officiating.
