Gerry Lynn Livengood

Mr. Gerry Lynn Livengood, 53, of Statesville, passed away, Sunday, September 24, 2017. He was born November 17, 1963 in Rowan County and was the son of Gerry L. Livengood and Patt S. Heard, who survive. He was a graduate of Rowan County schools and on January 3, 1998, he married Kelly Painter Livengood, who survives of the home. He was a security guard at Kewaunee Scientific and was a devout member of Bright Light Baptist Church, where he ran the sound system for many years. He loved his church family, God and especially loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a son, Timothy Painter (Kari) of Statesville, two granddaughters, Abagail and Meredith Painter of Statesville, a sister, Robin Stamey of Tyro, NC, and a step-brother, Allen Livengood of Salisbury, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Bright Light Baptist Church with Rev. Jayson Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Bright Light Baptist Church.
